Meet the Team
Dominic Olliff - Director
Dominic has over 20 years of live event and venue management experience and has been lucky enough to have worked in, and managed, some of the largest and most renowned venues in the world.
Having started out his career at Twickenham Stadium with the Rugby Football Union (RFU), Dominic was then recruited by Wembley Stadium to assist with the opening of the new Stadium, development of operational plans and the subsequent management of the varied, high profile events in the Wembley Stadium calendar.
With the London Olympics on the horizon, Dominic started working for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic & Paralympic Games (LOCOG) in 2009, and more specifically led on the planning of the outer London venues. Dominic was subsequently asked to lead on the overall planning, venue development and the general management of the Olympic Stadium which resulted in the venue being opened, licensed and successfully run for the test events, the opening and closing ceremonies and all Olympic and Paralympic athletics competition.
Since 2012, Dominic has continued to expand the RDO portfolio and resource base, which saw him heading up RDO's team of eight that provided support to the COO, Head of Venue Management and Venue Management team at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Following this, Dominic moved to work on the 2015 Rugby World Cup where he led the team that planned and delivered Twickenham Stadium. Dominic then moved to Australia in 2016 to set up the RDO Events Australia office and worked on the planning and delivery of the Venues at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. More recently Dominic was Director of Venues for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games; ultimately ensuring that all operations and sports were successfully delivered across the 15 different competition venues. He is currently Director of Venues at the Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, responsible for the planning and delivery of all competition and non-competition venues.
Dominic continues to act as the Director of Operations for Race Of Champions – the annual, global event “which finds out who really is the best motorsports driver in the world”. The event was most recently held on the frozen sea in northern Sweden (just south of the artic circle!) with previous events held in Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and America.
Dominic is a proven leader and hard working professional who prides himself on building strong teams and always finding pragmatic solutions to complex problems.
Kate Olliff - Director
With over ten year’s experience, Kate has a specialism in complex programme management and in the delivery of demanding and intricate projects. Having begun her career at Deloitte, Kate’s passion now lies in the planning and delivery of large scale sporting events, pulling upon a core programme management skillset she has built up with a variety of high-profile clients.
Kate began her career at Deloitte in 2004 where she had six years experience in core programme management as well as developing skills in marketing, brand, finance process redesign, CRM, cost reduction, HR restructuring and change management of complex business transformation projects - she had the opportunity to work with both large and small clients, across all industries (both public and private sectors), always with a passion to ensure a lasting difference was made to their business operations.
In 2010, Kate was thrilled to be given the opportunity to oversee the planning and operations of a team of 250 in the Brand, Marketing and Culture department at London 2012 - from scoping, budgeting and planning for Games Time to implementation, dissolution and closedown of the function post Games. This included working with a number of agencies, suppliers and sponsors (McDonalds, Coca Cola, P&G, British Airways etc) to ensure marketing campaigns were aligned, ‘Look’/brand activations were maximised, way finding & signage was fit for purpose, and the spectator was the best it could be to make London 2012 the best Olympic & Paralympic Games ever.
In 2013, Kate completed a role as Chief Operating Officer for Join In Ltd, a charitable trust set-up as a legacy project from the Games tasked with increasing volunteers in local sports clubs and community centres. She oversaw all areas of its operations including a team of 30 staff and a budget of £4m. Her greatest achievements in this role included the successful submission for £1.5m Big Lottery funding, overseeing an event for 30k attendees in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in July 2013, and implementing HR, Finance and other back-office structures and processes to support a growing organisation with multiple funders.
Since the end of 2013, Kate continued to provide consultancy services and specialist programme management advice - most notably working with the Commonwealth Games Federation, Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup 2015, The Co-operative, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and Race Of Champions.
